Fowberry Excavation Site 4 (Jan 2007)3D Model
Area of outcrop set on private land in the Fowberry Moor area, near Wooler, Northumberland.
Found during an excavation by Stan Beckensall and University of Newcastle in 1973, the dig unearthed a double arc of cobbles placed on top of bedrock, some of which were also carved. Referenced ‘Fowberry Excavation Site 4’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA), it was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. Motifs consist of cups, cups with grooves, cups with multiple partial arcs and cups with single rings.
