More model informationWhen first built the interiors at Elizabeth Farm were quite simple; in the renovations of the late 1820s however the main rooms were fitted out with decorative – and expensive - cornices. These were originally made, not in a continual pre-made length that was then fixed into place as is familiar to us today, but formed directly into place by a skilled tradesman using a shaped profile. The cornice of the library-bedroom is the most intact seen in the house today, while that in the drawing room is recreated.
