This model is part of an ongoing project to document “at risk” features at Heritage Sites in the Coconino Forest due to natural or vandalism related issues.
This is a stone step area on the east side of the Pendley Cabin outer boundary stone wall leading to the south side lawn and garden. The stone steps are showing significant fracture and damage to the cement holding the steps in place. Small portions of what are presumed to be wooden gate framing are still present but not the full gate structure. The Pendley Cabin is a historic settler cabin dating back to the early 1930s. Other structures on the property date back to the late 1800s. The site is managed, maintained and protected by the Arizona State Parks system.
