Model created of Sinagua petroglyph element on Panel 4 at V bar V Heritage Site south of Sedona Arizona in the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest. The model photographs were acquired using an electronic flash to highlight detail of the indirect percussion method employed by the Sinagua pre-historic culture circa 1100-1200 AD.
This model is part of an ongoing project to document “at risk” rock art at our Heritage Sites due to natural or vandalism related issues. Additional information about the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest can be found at the following web sites http://www.sedonaredrocktrails.org/
