This is a small area of rock art panel 9 at the Grotto Alcove of the Palatki Heritage Site in the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest, northwest of Sedona, Arizona.
This area of the panel has a complex area of superimposed petroglyph scratches of different cultures and ages and probable Archaic, Sinagua and Yavapai or Apache pictographs. Part of the rock surface is flaking off and some of the white area is not paint but is carbonate fracture filling almost parallel to the rock face
This is part of an ongoing project to document at risk sites and rock art and also to evaluate potential pre-Archaic imagary in the Verde Valley.
