This is the lower left area of panel 1 just above the rock face angle change. The vertical and diagonal incised grooves appear to be essentially contemperanous. The vertically bound cross hatched area may or may not be analagous to somewhat similar “snake” motifs at other rock art panels in the area. Approximately two feet above this area is a black painted “rake” symbol interpreted to be Archaic in origin. The paint clearly is superimposed on similar incised lines seen in this model. The is of this model is approximately 8 inches in width.
This model is part of a project to study the association of Archaic and Sinagua petroglyphs and pictographs.
