This is central area of Panel 6 at the V bar V Heritage Site south of Sedona Arizona in the Coconino Forest. It is approximately 1.5 x 1.0 meter. This cliff face area is covered and being progressivly destroyed by lichen that have been growing on the rock surface primarily because of a tree that was located directly in front of the cliff face. The tree has been cut down in Nov. 2021 for safety reasons.
This is part of a monitoring study due to the concern that without the shade protection of the tree, the lichen may die hastening the degradation of the rock surface and loss of the petroglyphs on it.
This is a redo of FS2066 but still requires more aerial coverage and the camera being closer for more detail and resolution. It was acquired with a 36mp camera and 180mm macro lens. This version will be used for color variation evaluation.
