More model informationWorking on a dragon commission that has feathered wings. These kinds of wings have always been very hard for me, but I think I finally got a work flow that produces some pretty awesome game ready results. They came out to about 10k tris and should deform fairly well albeit with a pretty complex rig. I’ll update the model with folding animations when the rig is done.
I used feather cards for each individual primary and secondary feather. The tiny feathers on the amrs and shoulders are hand painted on wide planes that sit on the shoulders and arms almost like a cloak. Most of their shape will be retained when folded.
Modeled in Blender and painted in Substance Painter.
