More model informationThe Geelong West Boys Football team faced East Geelong in the Boys League final 19th September 1942. The boys team played at Kardinia Park during the third year of World War Two. Spectators paid a silver coin admission with all proceeds going to patriotic funds. East Geelong must have been a tough team to play with the Geelong West boys becoming “Runners Up” this year.
This photograph with it’s finely carved wooden frame celebrates the team making the Boys League finals in 1942.
