**Geo-referencing Commonwealth Curios **

This pocket terrestrial globe, measuring just seven centimetres in diameter, dates from 1771 and forms part of the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) collections in Cambridge University Library. In addition to mapping the voyage of James Cook in the Endeavour from 1768 to1771, 3D technology now enables us to take you on a voyage of discovery around the Commonwealth through curious objects held in the RCS collections. Each of the tagged objects appeared in the University Library’s Curious Objects exhibition and by clicking on a numbered tag you are taken to a photograph of the artefact and a URL which will link you to the exhibition caption for the object.
