More model informationModeled after a historical piece. Such sword is probably German origin in the 16-17th century. This sword features two finger rings, straight quillon on both sides, a knuckle bow, and two diagonally curved side bars protection both inside and outside of the wrist.
Generally, there are several types of basket hilt swords: early English origin (Mary Rose), later English origin (Morturary), Scottish origin (Scottish broadsword/backsword), German origin (like this one, and there are other variants), Italian origin (Schiavonae). They all had quite different designs on the basket but sometimes they use similar if not identical blades. Why is that? Because Solingen!
