Modeled after a historical piece. Such sword is probably German origin in the 16-17th century. This sword features two finger rings, straight quillon on both sides, a knuckle bow, and two diagonally curved side bars protection both inside and outside of the wrist.

Generally, there are several types of basket hilt swords: early English origin (Mary Rose), later English origin (Morturary), Scottish origin (Scottish broadsword/backsword), German origin (like this one, and there are other variants), Italian origin (Schiavonae).
