This model is a 3D photogrammetric scan of a german nazi minesweeper M85. This wreck is very special, as M85 is the only ship sank by the Polish forces during Second World War’s September campaign (invasion on Poland, that started the whole World War II). Poles defended bravely, destroying over 600 tanks, more than 5000 cars, and over 500 planes. But only one ship - the M85 minesweeper. It sank on October 1st 1939 after hitting a mine set up by polish submarine ORP Żbik, taking 24 of its crew to the bottom. It lies on a respectable depth of 65 meters, north of Jastarnia, Hel peninsula, in two parts. This model shows the bigger and more interesting bow part. The stern part is yet to be scanned. The model was created from almost 11 000 photographs taken in a very poor visibilty (2 - 4 meters).
