Description
The Mi-2 is a Soviet light utility helicopter developed by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and produced exclusively in Poland by PZL-Świdnik. Featuring twin turboshaft engines mounted above the cabin instead of the traditional nose-mounted configuration, this compact rotorcraft served extensively in transport, training, agricultural, and light attack roles across Warsaw Pact nations. The military variants could be armed with 23mm cannon pods, rocket launchers, or anti-tank missiles, while maintaining capacity for 8 troops or 800kg of internal cargo. Its rugged design and simple maintenance made it one of the most successful Eastern Bloc helicopters with over 5,400 units produced.
