More model informationThis Megalonyx jeffersonii mandible fragment was recovered in 1917 by the Carnegie Museum of Natural History at Saltville, Virginia. Blaine Schubert of Eastern Tennessee State University arranged a loan of this fossil to the Museum of the Middle Appalachians on the 100th anniversary of those excavations.
