エントツガイ / Giant shipworm

こう見えて、世界一長い二枚貝。大きいものは1ｍ50㎝もある。生息地が限られており大変希少。パイプ状の棲管（殻ではない）を作り、軟体部に痕跡的な二枚の殻がある。

Despite its appearance, it is the longest bivalve in the world. The largest ones are 1.5 meters long. Its habitat is limited and it is very rare. It makes a pipe-shaped tube (not a shell) and has two vestigial shells on the soft body.
