The Gildemander is a large creature in Pikmin 4 and is a boss in that game. The Gildemander is a massive salamander that collects gold snd puts it on its back. It has an antenna that mimics your commands for Pikmin. This confuses them into running off. The Gildemander has a large tongue that it uses to eat pikmin in large mouthfulls. The Creature has this gold to protect its vulnerable back, which has 3 weak bulbs that can be damaged by pikmin. The gold can be knocked off of it and the gildemander will make an effort to gather this gold back, however, this gold can be destroyed by your Pikmin aswell. Destroying all 3 bulbs will kill the creature.
