More model informationAlongside the single track road through Glen Lonan in argyll there is a small group of monuments, a standing stone and a small cairn with further cairn, possible standing stonne and stone circle within a few hundred metres.
According to local tradition, the stone, known as ‘Clach na Carraig’ or ‘Clach Diarmid’, and the cairn together mark the burial place of the Fingalian hero Diarmid.
The stone stands some 4 metres high - almost the same as the diameter of the Cairn at about 4½ metres.
The individual models of both features and the cairn alone can also be vewed separately in individual models.
