More model informationThe 356 foot steel bulk freighter Glenorchy was originally built in 1902 as the A. E. Stewart. In 1918 it was sold to the Great Lakes Transportation Company and renamed the Glenorchy. In 1924 it sank in a collision with the Leonard B. Miller in Lake Huron off Harbor Beach, MI. Today it lies upside-down in 120 ft of water in the Thumb Area Bottomland Shipwreck Preserve. The ship can be penetrated through the open aft engine room gangway for trained shipwreck explorers. The model was created from 5,866 30 and 50 megapixel images and GoPro Video frames shot by Brian Bosveld, Jon Connolly and Andrew Goodman in the 2023 season.
