This is my redesign of the iconic Gold Saucer from the Final Fantasy 7 game. Inspired by the Final Fantasy 7 Remake game that came out last year. The full project including concept design can be seen on my Artstation profile.
The redesign takes the form of a Rocket orbited by seven Flying Saucers (each representing one of the Gold Saucer’s ‘squares’ from the game), situated on a concrete Launch Pad with reinforced Ironwork, due to the desert location the Ironwork has rusted and corroded from the inevitable sand storms. A Ticket Booth and Turnstiles grant access to the Rocket, and it’s bright neon sign can be seen from far and wide.
The model has; - 20 Uniquely unwrapped objects - 61,950 polys - Low quad/tri topology - 48 Optimised* PBR Textures
Created in 3ds Max 2019.
*Note: The textures used for display on Sketchfab have been converted to JPG, reduced in size, or ommitted completely if unsupported. The original project and renders uses 56 x 2k PNG’s for all maps within 3ds Max 2019.
