Possible prehistoric carved boulder on Goldsborough Rigg, Cotherstone Moor, W of Cotherstone, County Durham.
This stone was thought to be the record D10321 on the county Historic Environment Record (HER) and was referenced ‘Goldsborough Rigg 5’ by NADRAP on ERA in 2008. However, it wasn’t clear whether the cross referencing to the HER was correct due to the clustering of potential panels in this area. The NADRAP team recorded:
‘A single cup-like depression can be seen on the near vertical facing south side, but the fracturing around edges may indicate a bullet being the cause.’ This model appears to confirm the fracturing around the edge.’

Model created from a single stereo pair captured by NADRAP Team 5 in June 2007. The imagery forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and the county councils.
