Possible prehistoric carved boulder on Goldsborough Rigg, Cotherstone Moor, W of Cotherstone, County Durham.
This stone was cross referenced to record D10322 on the county Historic Environment Record (HER) by NADRAP. However, the location appears to be a few hundred metres out, so this now seems unlikely. Recorded ‘Goldsborough Rigg 6’ by NADRAP, the team recorded:
‘A deep, small (0.03 meter diameter) conical hole can be found at its eastern end. This feature is extremely unlikely to be a cup due to its shape and depth and more likely to be a solution hole.’

Model created from a single stereo pair captured by NADRAP Team 5 in June 2007. The imagery forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and the county councils.
