More model informationGorgon head keystone adorning the former Midland Bank, 165–168 High Street, Southampton, Hampshire. The building was built in 1900 by architect Thomas Bostock Whinney in a Neo-Baroque style. The gorgon is one of several neoclassical grotesque heads set on the keystones of the bank’s rusticated round-headed arches. The bank is now a Grade II Listed Building and recently converted into a restaurant.
