Archaeological Remains of a Grab-and-Run Survival Pack

Date: c. 2025-2027 CE Provenance: Los Angeles, United States.

On loan from the Illegal Museum of Beyond Excavated from the remains of a fortified enclave in Los Angeles, associated with Lauren Oya Olimina (the hero of Octavia Bulter’s ‘Parable of the Sower’, 1993). In addition to damage caused during burial, the object shows evidence of burning, associated with the violent destruction of the surrounding enclave buildings by Pyros in 2027. Recently exhibited in ‘Objects of the Misanthropocene: A Time-Travelling Exhibition from the Museums of Beyond’. https://misanthropocene.wixsite.com/museumofbeyond
