Il sistema carsico del “Re Tiberio” si trova nell’area di Monte Tondo. La grotta risulta frequentato dall’età del bronzo. In aggiunta a diversi siti sepolcrali la grotta, conserva tracce di numerosi adattamenti degli ambienti e delle pareti. Queste tracce sono legate a molteplici orizzonti temporali, mentre la loro funzione non appare ancora totalmente definita. Tra gli adattamenti più significativi, la grotta presenta alcuni complessi sistemi di vasche collegate tramite solchi e canalette: il tutto ricavato scavando le pareti di gesso. Le vachette si presentano in due punti: presso l’ingresso e a circa 80 metri dallo stesso all’interno della “Sala Gotica”. L’interpretazione ‘classica’ le lega ad un ‘culto delle acque’ che avrebbe interessato la cavità.
