Haematite

Haematite (or hematite) [Fe₂O₃] is the principal ore of iron. It is dense, has a metallic lustre and a bluish-grey colour. A brown streak and lack of magnetic properties distingushes it from magnetite (dark grey streak). The brownish components of this sample with a dull lustre are weathered versions of haematite - likely goethite.
