An Early Bronze Age ‘Food Vessel’ with an angular profile, with zoned incised decoration on the internal rim and body There is a vertical ladder pattern on the rim/neck; a band of alternate vertical and horizontal panels on the shoulder with a herringbone design beneath. The lower body has infilled chevron patterning and a herringbone motif. The vase is an insular Irish tradition often found in cist graves. This vase comes from Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. More.
