Head of a griffin from a roman burial monument

The head of a griffin made of sandstone belonged to a huge Roman tomb monument that stood on the road from Cologne to Trier and probably belonged to a rich Roman villa whose location is still unknown today. Today, the griffin stands not far from where it was found in the small village of Duppach in the Eifel.
