More model informationThis brick fragment is one of seven recovered from the shipwrecked 1700 slaver Henrietta Marie. Though the earthenware brick is incomplete, what remains shows that it was at least 16.5cm long, 9.0cm wide, and 2.8cm thick. Bricks were most likely used for the ship’s hearth and helped to insulate the wooden deck from heat and flame.
