More model informationThe small 84 ft schooner Hetty Taylor was built in 1874 in Milwaukee, WI. It was used mainly as a lumber hooker along the Lake Michigan, Wisconsin shore. In 1880 it was caught running light in a storm and capsized off Sheboygan, WI. The crew escaped in the yawl boat. There were several attempts to salvage her but all failed. Today it is a popular dive site and buoyed annually by Wisconsin Historical Society and the Wisconsin Underwater Archaeological Association. The model was created from 6,541 HD frame grabs from a 2010 survey and photomosaic project. The video was shot by Keith Meverden for the WHS.
