Not much is written about this early sidewheel steamer that was built in 1850. In 1871 it burned near Garden Island off Kingston, Ontario. It is now one of many shallow flattened wrecks off Garden Island. Some were used as part of a breakwall. The Highlander sits in about ten ft of water where the bottom of the ship is all that survives. The 3,272 images for the model were shot by the team of Matt Charlesworth and Ken Merryman.
