Taflmaður úr hnefatafli frá landnámsbænum Firði í Seyðisfirði. Taflmaðurinn er 2,8 cm á lengd, 2,6 cm á breidd og 2,2 cm á hæð. Hann vegur 12,7 gr. Gripurinn fannst í bátskumli frá því fyrir árið 1000. Uppgröfturinn er á vegum Antikva ehf. undir stjórn Ragnheiðar Traustadóttur.
Unearthed from the Viking Age boat grave at the Fjörður farmstead in Seyðisfjörður, this remarkable gaming piece is one of several used in the ancient game of Hnefatafl. Length: 2.8cm width 2.6cm height 2.2cm. It weighs 12.7g. The significance of this discovery lies in its historical context, providing valuable insights into the leisure activities and cultural practices of the Viking civilization.
