With the arrival of the Stockton & Darlington Railway 1825 the population of Darlington rapidly expanded and Holy Trinity was built as a chapel of ease to the Church of St. Cuthbert. The building was designed by Anthony Salvin and the foundation stone was laid on the 4th of October 1836. This collection features churchyard memorials.
