This model is created by Thomas Papatzikas as part of Covid-19 Digital Collection of MA “Media Studies: Digital Cultures”, Maastricht University. Since it is based on a miniature that is sold by Games Workshop (even though it has been physically altered before its digitization), the model is produced for academic reasons and it is not intented to abuse any copyright infringements. It’s physical dimensions are 10x6x5cm and weights approximately 35g. It’s scale is 28mm, a standard for most wargames. Apart from being “just games” wargames have been used for military purposes, as a way to reenact battles in order to enhance understanding of strategies and military knowledge. Archaeologists have discovered that miniatures had a key role in ancient societies. The most often to be found where the Venus Figurines which are believed to symbolize fertility.
