More model informationIn order to study the biomechanics of locomotion in humans and animal species inertial data about the moving segments of the body are necessary. However, scientific literature is rather scanty in terms of measurement of ‘real’ specimens. Therefore, a convenient (and accurate) shortcut is to take 3D rapresentation of the whole body, commercially available (like this horse taken from Poser), virtually chopped as to separate independently moving segments, and to geometrically process them (Rhino3D) to obtain lenght, mass, position of the centre of mass radius of gyration relative to the pivoting point for each of them.
