Architecture Collection
Here is the 6th model of the architecture collection.
This is the street facade of the private Hôtel de la Tresne that was built from 1754 to 1758 by the architect Nicolas Portier, at the request of the parliamentarian Jean-Baptiste Lecomte, Marquis de la Tresne.
Its history was marked by several owners. The Cardinal Jean Lefebvre de Cheverus in 1827. He gave its name to the street. The printer Gustave Gounouilhou in 1860. He transformed the hotel into a printing plant. The family Lemoine in 1944. They set in the hotel the headquarters of the major regional newspaper “Sud Ouest” until 2009.
After a century dedicated to journalism, this 18th-century private hotel is again used as a private residence.
This model is set up for VR. Take a short virtual walk!
