Boulder found on Howden Hill, NW of Newbrough, Northumberland.
.At the time of NADRAP Team 2 recording, it wasn’t known whether this rock was the previously referenced ‘Round Cairns West of Middle House’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA). NADRAP referenced the stone ‘Howden Hill 3’ adding it to ERA in 2008. The team described:
“Erosion makes the identification of cup marks uncertain and only a partial recording by photography and photogrammetry took place, as its identity with the Beckensall record remains unclear.”
