More model informationThe ring fountain in Strzelce Opolskie (Groß Strehlitz) is located in front of the town hall and is a symbol of the city.
A sculpture of a hunter and four frog sculptures belong to the fountain. In addition to the large pool, the fountain had four smaller pools on the sides, but these are no longer used as water pools today. The hunter figure is said to symbolize the origin of the city name, which comes from the word Strzelec (hunter).
The fountain with the bronze memorial was designed by Peter Lipp in 1929 on behalf of the Magistrate of Groß Strehlitz and built by the Gliwice Cabinet Office. The fountain was erected on the (old) ring in front of the entrance area of the town hall
