Hyundai Tucson is a compact crossover made by the Korean company Hyundai. It is named after the city of Tucson, Arizona, USA.

The second generation was introduced in 2009, but in most markets the model name was changed to ix35. The car received more powerful and economical engines, improved security system, dimensions.

The Hyundai ix35 is the successor to the first generation Hyundai Tucson. The car was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 3, 2009.

The car is built on the same platform with the third generation Kia Sportage.
