This is a perfusion fixed human heart that was donated for research. This heart was donated from a 64 year old male with no known cardiac disorders, and is representative of a healthy heart. The scan was performed within two days of perfusion fixation, so many of the colors in the model are close to in-vivo. Notable features are: the coronary arteries and veins, the right atrial appendage, which shows how thin this tissue is, and the long descending aorta down the posterior side of the heart. This heart uses reference number: Heart0612.
