More model informationTake a look at this 3D photogrammetry model of an Iron Age juvenile horse burial, found in a purpose dug grave. The skeleton is incomplete, with only the skull and long bones having been preserved. The top of the skull has also been removed due to disturbance by modern farming activity. The horse burial was found outside of the main enclosure ditch of an Iron Age farmstead. This archaeological site in Cambridgeshire is part of the A428 archaeology programme.
Excavations are being undertaken by MOLA, as part of the proposed National Highways A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet improvements. You can find out more about the scheme here: https://nationalhighways.co.uk/our-roads/a428-black-cat-to-caxton-gibbet/
