The three masted 140 ft Schooner Ishpeming was built in 1872. In 1903 it was bound for Alpena with a load of coal when it ran aground off Black River north of Harrisville, MI. it was too shallow water to be recovered and was abandoned. There is a historic photo of the Ishpeming showing what schooners of the era looked like. The wreck lies in twelve ft of water in the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and is buoyed annually for divers, snorkelers, and kayakers. The model was created from 1,784 - 4k 3840 x 2160 pixel video frames taken at a one per second interval.
