This is my final polychromed model of West block II of the Parthenon frieze. It was reconstructed in photoscan from photographs of thwe Basel casts at Skulpturhalle. I polychromed it based off of what we learned about color primarily from Verri, Wescoat & Levitan, and Neils, among others. The bumpy areas in the upper right and lower left quadrant (by the leg of the gray horse) are due to manipulated geometry - the casts are broken off in those corners, and when attempting the flatten out the geometry, a strange texture gets added. I tried multiple methods to fix it and this was the smoothest looking solution. The horses bridles are painted on - when I added geometry to add these features, it distorted the apperance of the rest of the image.
