Jedi Sword

Wanted to try and make a weapon that Jedi not in a science/fantasy setting might use. A long blade but a one handed hilt, with a small cross guard designed to twist opponent weapons out of their hands but not large enough to get in the way of some of their flashy moves. I figure the blade would have to be made of some mystery metal that weights very little but retains strength and sharpness.
