More model informationThese are the nine Megalonyx fossils sent to Thomas Jefferson in the late 1700s. This particular arrangement of the numbered hand is from an illustration adapted by Tom Dunne from a drawing by Dennis Murphy of the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. The numbered hand is directly adapted from the illustration while the nine fossils were 3-D scanned with a NextEngine Desktop 3-D scanner at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelpha on March 9 and 10, 2020.
