More model informationThis 4 Reales silver coin dates back to the 16th century (probably from the year 1542). It was minted at the Mexico Mint during the reign of Joanna of Castile and Charles I. The assayer is Pedro de la Espina.
On the obverse, we can read: “KAROLVS ET IOHANA R” referring to the monarchs. On the reverse, it reads: “HISPANIARVM ET INDIARVM”.
