More model informationThe Junction Group Earthworks are located in Ross County, Ohio, in what is generally considered the Ohio Hopewell heartland. The Junction Group is one of only a few known enclosure groups that exhibits a planned enclosure placement that is recognizable to modern archaeologists. This grouping of earthworks were probably built by what we would call the late Adena or early Hopewell cultures, and includes the only known quatrefoil. The group recently became protected by a park, and foliage has been allowed to grow over the earthwork for interpretive purposes.
