Amoniti so izumrli predstavniki mehkužcev. Njihovi ostanki so bili odkriti tudi v Dolini Triglavskih jezer. Predstavljeni jurski amonit sodi med najstarejše ohranjene primerke, še iz zbirke Sigismonda (Žige) Zoisa. Zbirka Prirodoslovnega muzeja Slovenije.

Ammonites are extinct representatives of molluscs. Their remains have also been discovered in the Triglav Lakes Valley.
