More model informationKame of Isbister, North Roe, Shetland. This headland is connected to the mainland by a narrow ridge and is the site of a possible eremitical monastic settlement. You can see the structures on the grassy slope facing east - it’s not possible to see these from the mainland. There was once a narrow path that connected the Kame to the mainland, however this collapsed in 1930 and it is now very difficult to get onto the headland.
