Kerbstone 79 is a decorated stone dating from the Neolithic, located on the outer edge of the largest megalithic tomb at Knowth, Co. Meath, Ireland (ME019-030001-). In the middle of the stone is a large oval with a very wide, ribbon-like line. The oval encloses two circular motifs. Below the oval is a clockwise spiral. On the left of the oval is a large double C-shape with a gapped circle inside; a short horizontal line is picked in the gap. Below this is a sideways comma-shaped motif. To the left of these, a broad line curves along the left side of the face and turns onto the top, where it dips down to a V. On the right of the large oval there is a small upward-opening U-motif and a clockwise spiral. Below this are two wide, boxed, U-motifs. To the right, the designs continue on the next face of the stone.
