More model informationLow resolution model of a very particular panel, situated in Monreith (Dumfries and Galloway). This rock is situated on the slope of a knoll near the coast, secluded by a large block carved with typical cup-and-ring motifs, almost in a vertical position. The motifs depicted on this panel are quite unique with no parallels, and therefore difficult to date. It has been suggested that the motifs represent Bronze Age axes, shields or torcs. It has also been suggested that these may be Pictish carvings.
